Skills and Soul is the brainchild of Apolonia Velasquez and Ofilio “Sinbadinho” Portillo. Originally from Montreal, the creative duet represents a remarkable dance repertoire that is constantly evolving through the years. Together, their knowledge and understanding of street dances and conventional dance styles make them a pair of well-rounded choreographers, dancers and artistic directors. Collectively, while working towards increasing the visibility of street dances they take pride in putting onstage work that involves outstanding passionate dancers whose talent equals their personalities.

They are the Founders of emerging dance company Gadfly. Together they have worked for artists such as: Kreesha Turner, Feist, Danny Fernandes, Jully Black, Thunderheist, Eva Avila, Masia One, Cory Lee, Shawn Desman, Rochester. They can be seen in commercials for Nike, MTV, Bell, Virgin Mobile.
